We are pleased to announce that Monica Teixeira has joined the Fountain Health team.  Monica is a Registered Dietitian with expertise in diabetes and bariatric care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Francis Xavier University and completed her Bachelor of Science in Applied Human Nutrition and professional dietetic training at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax.

Before joining Fountain Health, Monica worked with Alberta Health Services for over three years in both a bariatric and diabetes specialty clinic, practicing both one on one and group education. Her clinical experience has given her a deep understanding of the complex relationship between metabolism and nutrition.

At Fountain Health, Monica provides individualized and group nutrition counselling and education to support patients in managing diabetes, weight, and fostering a healthy relationship with food. She is passionate about working with clients to empower them to make sustainable, meaningful changes that improve their overall health and quality of life.

Monica is an HMS approved provider under the Standard Health Benefit.
